ARTLIT, Edition für Schriftkunst, loves words. The hamburg based publisher aims to celebrate beautiful words on extraordinary posters and postcards. For their first edition I illustrated this quote from Fear of the Inexplicable:
perhaps all the dragons of our lives are princesses
Rainer Maria Rilke
who are only waiting to see us once beautiful and brave.
The illustration is covered with a black stencil from wich the letters are laser cut. It is only attached at the bottom and the top so that the viewer can lift it a little to glimpse at the full image. The posters were shown in the foyer of the Galerie der Gegenwart.
The poster was partly handcrafted by König Konzept.
